Image result for glastonbury TorToday's blog is more of a rant than just my normal mystical musings. Since being back in Glastonbury I have made oaths with the land wights here, that every time I go up the Tor I will pick up and rubbish and litter discarded by others. The deal was I will look after Avalon and Avalon will look after me.
All is going well, I go up the Tor at least three times a week and up Wearyall Hill once . I collect a vast array of beer cans, bottles, sweet papers, fag packets and sometimes the odd baby's nappy or worse. The thing is what really gets my goat, as I always walk the same route, is that the good old dog walkers who pick up their pets poop in a plastic bag, then just sling it on the land. This really confuses me. If you don't want to carry it away with you just leave the dog poop and let nature break it down over time. Once you tie it up in a bag, its going hang around forever.  What really more infuriating is that, the same bags a dumped in the same places regularly, so these people must think the dog poop fairy comes and picks it up, and they are probably right ME!!!
Please think about what you are doing when to drop your waste on the Tor, we are very lucky to live here and make these lands our home, so  treat it a such.

Displaying DSC_0060.JPG Added a couple of more pics to this blog, one so you can see how lavish the entrance is for such a simple church and two to show the Yew tree in the graveyard .

Yesterday, late afternoon, Julie  took me on a interesting walk over Bleadon Hill and down into the village of Christon, Somerset, she wanted me to see the lovely little church there. The Church, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, is from the 12th century and has an amazing atmosphere. Inside it is quaint and charming, the archway over the door is beautiful, but this is not what I am going to tell you about.
It was when I put my hand on the ancient Yew tree in the grave yard, that I was gifted something far more interesting, a vision.
I was sitting beside the tree and two fine gentlemen on robust horses approached me. not exactly sure what time it was, but by the clothes maybe13th, 14th century. One of these aristocratic types spoke.
" You there, on your way. Your sort are not welcome here, best you head to Glastonbury, where they tolerate misfits. If I find you here tomorrow there will be trouble."
They spurred their horses and galloped off.
It was so real it freaked me out, I told Julie I heard the name Terence mentioned but not sure. I went home where more visions came to me. I know that whenever I pass Crooks Peak on the M5 motorway I go cold and feel a dark oppressive feeling come over me, this is the Mendip hill that over looks the village of Christon. I researched this village and the manor near abouts and this is what I found out.
In 1225 Gervase de Sparkford gave the manor of Lokeston as his daughter Jordana's dowry to Philip de Insula. Around 1311 William de Weylande held land in Loxton and in 1336 he had the "right of free warren", namely the right to kill game within the manor. He and his descendants were lords of the manor until about 1385.

Image result for Odins son thorFinally Yule and the Christmas season out the way., time to go deep within and heal the past, protect for the present and plan for the future. I have come to the conclusion that I have no control over what people say about me or believe what they hear about me. I trust that those who are meant to be my students , my friends and my companions will be drawn to me and those who have no faith in what I teach or what I honour will find their own path.
I will let this negativity roll off me like raindrops, there are much bigger issues to deal with than a few hurtful words after all Odin told me that after Yule I would learn the true meaning of the first charm.
" I know a first, it is called help. It will help you with accusations and sorrows and all sorts of anxiety."
I have had to bare the brunt of all of the above since the Winter Solstice passed.
Each of the eighteen charms of Odin have profound meaning in our modern life. My own personal helm for the 1st charm will be the tattoo that I get first in 2016.
I wish anyone who is going through these same trails nothing but the best. Be strong, be silent and as one of my students pointed out to me, fortitude is the best ally in this instance.

Image result for waylands smithyOMG the energy is so heavy at the moment, from now until Winter solstice on the 22nd watch out! And keep a low profile. Well that is me anyway, as I have been instructed by Odin. So I will sit still, be hidden from all those who seek me out, some to steal my energy, some to distract me from my spiritual path and others who wish my doom. It may sound quite traumatic but it is what I am experiencing at the present.
"Outasitti" is an old Norse term for sitting outside on the burial mounds of the dead or in the forest and being completely still and silent, just blending into the background. Only then can you truly see, see what others are up to. In this state they can't see you, you have become invisible to them.
It is only after Yule that I may reclaim my place, as the New year is born so am I and then if they still hunt me down then I will become visible to them and invite their contact.

This last year has seen my beautiful Mother pass from this realm, the split up of my marriage and my return home to Britain where now I am face trial after trial. The one constant thing that has kept me going through all this has been my faith that Odin is watching over me and guiding me. There are other out in the big wide world who question my beliefs and my connection to the All Father. Me personally, I would never question somebody Else's faith, I do not have that rite.
So on this anniversary I will not be angry with those who question my integrity, my skills as a shaman and even my rite to teach. But I will give thanks to those who really know me and have stood by me with love and friendship. As Yule approaches and we say good bye to the old year, the lands I love have gifted me something very special, some one to heal me, who gets me.Thank you

Dealing with trolls

After I had been back in Avalon for maybe three weeks, I did a short recorded vision in the Fearie wood at the bottom of Glastonbury Tor. That which i saw on my journey was quite harrowing... A troll ,or giant had come through a portal from Jotunheim and was causing devastation in Vanaheim ( The Faerie Realm). I asked if I was to send it back and was told in no uncertain terms No! It was the responsibility of those who had opened the gateway to correct their error.
Image result for trollsSo for the last two months this dark force has been causing havoc in the Frithgard Forest. Yesterday I was told by my spirits that if I really wanted to help I could. So during my shamanic teaching class we devised a runic helm and invocation chant to drive the destructive force back from whence it came. The plan was that at 7am UK time I would go about my task supported by the energy of my students being spiritually with me in the work ahead. At 4am I woke abruptly from my sleep, called by Odin to set about my work but not to venture out to the Faerie Wood but to place the three sacred stones around me and to enter the spirit world from where I was ( In my bed). This I did.
Goll my shaman, Odin and Thor were waiting for me at the sacred fire. I was presented with Mjolnir (Thor's Hammer) which changed into a Saxon war hammer as soon as I touched it. This type of weapon had a heavy blunt hammer like head on one side the other is a vicious spike. I stated that only Thor may use this weapon, but was interrupted by the God himself saying.
" Or those who have permission."
A red cloak was placed around my shoulders, which had the helm we had designed embroidered on the back and a bright flaming torch in the other. I left the council fire and set off on my quest to drive the troll back to its home. I had not ventured very far when a huge giant came crashing through the trees. I instantly held up the burning torch, I believed the monster would be scared of this light but it just roared loudly and extinguished the flame with its foul breath. I threw the useless torch to the ground and started to run.
With two strides the troll was upon me, I stumbled and fell into an indentation in the ground and the beast stamped down on me, covering me in a tomb like grave. It was then I realized the Ogre had no idea I was under its foot. As it moved from side to side the walls of the hole began to subside and I knew I would be crushed beneath its enormous weight. I placed the pointed end of the hammer against the sole of its foot and kicked the flat end hard sending the spike through the tough skin.
The foot was raised and I made a dash for it but in one mighty swoop the giant snatched me in its grasp and dived back through the portal into Jotunheim.

Then a flash of gold sparkled beneath me, a flash coming towards me at an equally daunting rate. With a precision strike the Golden Dragon snatched me from the troll's grasp and carried on back in the direction of the sky gateway. Beneath, I watched the troll fall, with a sorry look upon its face, down, down to its doom.
The Dragon set me  on a ledge in the clouds where Odin, Goll and Thor waited. Quickly I was hurried through to our side of the portal and the doorway was sealed with bind runes and magic. I tried to thank my spirits guides for saving me then Goll explained.
" We used you as bait, to allow us to trap the giant and reveal its intent to us. The demon had been sent to destroy you, but you were hidden from its gaze by us. Trolls just smash everything it is in their nature, as it couldn't find you it just lashed out in every direction. We did hope those who opened this window would see the error in their ways, that was not to be. We needed you to draw it out, to make yourself a willing victim and that you did by volunteering for the task. Even the helm you created in your class was not to drive the troll back through the gateway but to help it find its way to you. Think about it Kennaz and Raido, you lit the way like a beacon."
Odin spoke." It is always Thor who guards the borders to Jotunheim and it has always been he who has sent them packing you were just the priest holding space. Now what was sent to destroy you has returned from whence it came and its fate is no longer your problem. As for those who set this spell in motion, I will punish them myself.
You boy are our advocate in Midgard, we will always watch over you until your orlog is done."

Later I visited the Faerie Wood and left offering for those who had protected me and said prayers for the troll, to calm its anger and healing to those who had wished me so much harm.
